Like Bombax’s Fiber

20 mins | Short Film
Directed by Govinda Khanal

A frustrated young man on his journey reaches a village where he meets a young boy. while spending time together, the young man connects with the young boy who shares the young man’s dream as a child and explores happiness.

The challenging thing about this movie was that we were two men, passionate about filmmaking, but with limited resources. We had with us a Canon 7D camera with kit lens and an unprofessional camera boom microphone. On top of that, there was no regular power supply in the village. The local people, however, do not know about the at all.

Nevertheless, when we sit down and watch the movie, it takes us to that village; it connects us with that community and it brings smiles on our faces. It inspires us to make more films rectifying our shortcomings.
